These match striker jar’s were thrown on the potters wheel. The stoneware jar was then hand cut and removable is added to divide the new match’s and the used matches. hand poured over with porcealn slip then glazed in white. strike anywhere on the un-glazed side of the jar and the match will light. Discard the used match in the discard slot.
